Rules Of Play

Please read this information carefuly prior to booking your visit

Scribbleton’s Rules of Play are designed to ensure all of our guests have a wonderful and safe visit. By booking you agree to adhere to them so please familiarise yourself with these before you come along.


  • Strictly no food or drink is to be bought into and consumed at Scribbleton.


  • Bookings are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your booked session, we can transfer your tickets to another date within 30 days, subject to availability. Where possible, please give at least 24hours notice.


  • Scribbleton is primarily aimed at children from 0-7.


  • All Scribblers must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible at all times.


  • Please respect Scribbleton and its equipment - we've worked hard to bring you a wonderful play space and we'd like it to remain that way for all guests to enjoy.


  • Please remove shoes, but keep your socks on for hygiene reasons.


  • No running please, for your safety and the safety of others.


  • Our props and play items have been designed to encourage exploration, imagination and motor skills but some may not be suitable for under 3’s. Direct supervision of a responsible adult is required at all times.


  • Please ensure your children do not throw props, or put them in their mouths. Scribbleton cannot accept responsibility for injury caused by inappropriate use of equipment or props.


  • We have worked hard to bring you a safe and stimulating play space. However, we recognise that the nature of play involves some inherent risks. We have taken every reasonable step to ensure these risks are kept to a minimum, but it is impossible to eliminate risk completely. Scribbleton therefore cannot accept liability for any injury or accident that occurs as a result of play. By using our facilities, the supervising adult acknowledges and accepts this responsibility.


  • When your two-hour session is finished, please return any toys to the appropriate room and make your way to the exit to ensure we have time to clean up and reset for the next session.


  • No food or drink is allowed outside of the café area.


  • Please park any prams in the foyer (where possible).


  • Please keep your valuables with you, we cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to personal property during your visit.


  • If you are ill, please do not attend Scribbleton for the wellbeing of other guests.


  • Please contact us ASAP if you need to rearrange your session due to illness. Please do not visit Scribbleton for at least 48hours after sickness or diarrhoea.


  • You are welcome to take photos of your own children, but please respect the privacy of other guests and ensure no photos are taken of children outside of your group.


  • We encourage all adults to get involved in play too. Embrace the wonder and excitement of your child and enjoy!
